Simple Answer = Same place we were before birth
Most of us will have approximately 70 years of life on this earth.
While alive, a large part of our focus is spent trying to come to terms that one day we will no longer be here..
This leads to questions about where we go after dying. Is there a continuation of ourselves after this life?
To some the thought of us loving on forever is as much a nightmare scenario as the thought that we simply vanish, cease to exist is to others.
We have created many stories about life after death. This question is no doubt the greatest driver of Religion.
It’s interesting to note
- Some religions opted to not say much about the afterlife, but rather to connect with God for benefits in the present life
- Other religions focus on the afterlife where there are promises of unimaginable benefits but only to those who are devoted to that particular religion
The first group of religions have a spiritual onenes philosophy.
It is this second group of religions mentioned above that teach that our individual souls live forever in an afterlife.
The teaching is something like – God creates each one of us at inception. What we do here and which God and teachings we believe has a direct impact on where we go after death.
Here’s why I believe this is not true. And if it’s not true, then it’s not God inspired.
If God is creating us at time of inception, then we have a beginning. An entity that lives forever cannot have a beginning.. because forever is not a time governed relm.
Therefore it would either mean
- We are like God and have existed forever or
- We don’t exist forever
I am pretty sure we are not like god.. so that leaves us not enduring forever…
But before this revelation gets you down, let me assure you that there is something even better in store.
To be revealed in a later post.
